About Do More Tech

Do More Tech EST 2026 was founded on what I’d classify as an ADHD fueled idea. Don’t worry, the procrastination is on pause, at least for as long as I’m here typing.

Tech has always been more than a hobby for me. As far back as I can remember, it’s fascinated me, so much so that at one point I probably would've said it was my identity. I’ve always loved taking things apart, both digital and physical. I enjoy getting more out of technology than it was originally meant to give, and I’m constantly looking for new tech to learn, break, fix, and tinker with.

My goal with this blog is to share the unique issues, solutions, frustrations, moments of life, and anything else that comes to my exceptionally creative and slightly off task brain.

A Little About Me

I love my family. My kids and beautiful wife mean everything to me. I grew up in Texas but now call the Midwest home. Outside of tech, I enjoy nature, mountain biking, and finding moments of quiet as life allows.

I’m a survivor of childhood domestic abuse and am recovering from post traumatic stress disorder one day at a time. I believe everyone deserves compassion and forgiveness, and I’ve found deep peace at the feet of Jesus as a Christian. Through my faith, I’ve found my identity as a child of God, and I know my worth isn’t defined by this world.

Ephesians 4:32 — “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

Professional Background

I’ve worked in tech supporting end users for over 8 years. More recently, I’ve found myself drawn to more advanced problems and infrastructure level challenges. My long term goal is to move into a sysadmin or network engineering role, and this blog is part of that journey.
